Anne Macartney

Anne is a commercial strategist with huge international experience across the travel retail arenas of airports, airlines, motorways, ferries and rail industries. Her expertise is in creating innovative commercial ideas, aligning organisations and maximising profits through effective implementation to future proof the assets.

Her focus covers all aspects of non-aeronautical revenues at airports and on all commercial revenues within the other sectors. Her passion is retail, food & beverage and for customer solutions. She has operated at senior board level within a number of retail organisations; notably, as Commercial Director of Welcome Break and as Global Buying and Merchandising Director for BAA World Duty Free.

She has worked with over 170 airport transactions and over 35 business optimisation programs in over 45 countries. She has also consulted for a large number of other companies including; UK high street retailers and food service restaurants, global coffee brands and fast food brands, international retailers and brands, small local suppliers and brands, supermarkets and convenience, blue chip consultancies, product and tenders, and new routes to market for businesses.
